About Me

I was born in Cincinnati, OH, raised in Jacksonville, AR, and currently reside in Maumelle, AR. Growing up as an only child (all my siblings were grown by the time I was born) I grew a wild imagination.  That imagination stayed with me my entire life and what helps me with my blog today. In 2010,  I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas where I majored in Family and Consumer Sciences.  After college I had a hard time finding a job (like most people who have graduated in the last few years) and so had to resort to jobs that you barely need a high school diploma to attain.  In 2011, I became an AmeriCorps Vista (a program where people choose to be poor on purpose).  I was eventually hired on by the Nonprofit where I was a Vista.

For the last 3 years, I have been working in the Nonprofit sector.  Like most 20-somethings, I am always thinking about what else I think I want to do.  I am convinced that I will never know what I want to be when I grow up, but I am having fun trying to figure it out.

Other than blogging, I like to shop, travel, create summer reading lists, attempt art projects I find on Pinterest, and hang with family and friends.  I am also a proud J-Dub (Jehovah's Witness).  Because of my faith there will be certain subjects that I will not blog about (i.e. politics and Kim Kardashian).  I also like to learn new things and find new interests.
