The Conclusion: Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion Part 3

This past Sunday was the conclusion of the crazy multi-part reunion of RHOA.  I have said it once and I will say it again: this was the shadiest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.  These ladies didn't hold back any punches so let's get to some of the highlights:

Leave Momma Joyce Out of It: Kandi called Nene out for writing about Momma Joyce in her blog.  When Nene was writing about why she didn't fight Marlo at the Bailey Bowl, Nene mentioned that her son was at the games and didn't want drag people like Momma Joyce or act gutta.  We all know how Kandi feels about her momma so of course she took offense.  Kandi explained to Nene that she felt it was disrespectful for her to write about her momma in her blog.  Nene felt she hadn't did anything wrong (no shock there) and felt no need to offer an apology.  As much as Nene got on my nerves during the reunion, I'm on her side on this one.  Momma Joyce voluntarily chose to act out this season.  We saw Momma Joyce and her goons sisters go "Set It Off" in a bridal shop, she left voice mails threatening to drag a woman half her age, and has shown zero respect for her daughter's fiance.  Kandi might not have liked it but Nene was blogging what we were all thinking.

The Charity Challenge: Throughout the reunion, Nene kept getting lip about not owning up to her wrongs but she did make two apologies (I discuss the other one later).  The incident where Nene got rude at a charity event that Kenya hosted was discussed.  A lot of the viewers agreed that the way Nene acted at the event was uncalled for and classless. Nene admitted that it was not a hot look and apologized or at least said she wrote an apology letter in her blog (has anyone read this blog?).  Later on, Nene challenged Kenya to a charity-off.  She said she would donate $20,000 to any charity of Kenya's choosing if she would match Nene's donation.  Now we all know Kenya ain't got nobody's $20,000 hence the silence from Kenya.  I'm still not sure what Kenya does for a living.  I know them straight to DVDs movies and Ms. USA title not paying any bills let alone leaving $20,000 in her bank account.  But I guess we will soon see if this charity challenge is ever met.

Apollo: Who Let the Dog Out?: Apollo was brought out before the rest of the husbands.  I was hoping we would get some juicy details about his pending bank fraud case.  However, when Andy asked Apollo about it, Apollo found a way to turn it back on Kenya.  He went in about how he made Kenya and gave her a story line.  Really, Apollo? It's you and Phaedra that are scratching the bottom of the barrel for a story line. Then somehow we ended up hearing a screeching back and forth about who texted who.  At some point, Apollo started teasing Kenya about her toes.  I, for one, am tired of hearing about Textgate.  That story line was two years ago and it has gotten old and tired.  Another thing...I understand Phaedra is frustrated by Kenya continually contacting her husband, but let's be real, Kenya not talking to herself.  We all know Apollo has played a major part in this whole exchange.  I want Phaedra to put that energy in reads to Kenya to Apollo because he is far from innocent in this situation.

Peter admits to being Patricia: One of the viewer questions asked was why Cynthia won't check her man about him being in woman's business. Cynthia explained she is not going to bring her husband around the ladies and stop him from speaking his opinion.  Peter explained that he will never stop giving his opinion.  It's time like this I wish I was hosting the reunion show.  Having an opinion is not the problem.  The problem is when he is sticking his nose where it's not needed like when he questioned Porsha about her marriage to Kordell.  Excuse me, Peter, I can see your bra strap.  Andy, will Bravo be adding Peter to opening credits next season?

The Queens are not here for Nene: Nene caught some heat when she kept calling Kenya's friend, Brandon, a "queen".  Even Andy Cohen admitted that he was offended by Nene's remarks.  Nene gave a half-way apology.  But what got me was when she was apologizing to Andy she asked him, "What do you want me to do? Pull your pants down and kiss your a$$."  Will somebody remind Nene that Andy has the power to fire her?  Andy played it off on camera, but you know he pulled Nene into his office let her know she better watch her mouth.  He made her and he can make her irrelevant.  Nene better ask Sherre and Kim.

The Read of the Decade: This happened last night....

And the award for Read of Your Life goes to Phaedra Parks.  Did she really say that "you don't know if yo baby daddy gone be an axe murderer or a child molester"?  And she killed when she said that "he needed $10 to get him a medium size pizza, so he ejaculated in a cup."  She had me as quiet as she had Kenya.  Phaedra had been holding that read in since they were in Mexico.  I'm not a fan of Kenya but I really wanted to give her one of those big momma hugs and let her know it was going to be alright.  It'ts safe to say these women will NEVER be friends.

This 3-part reunion was a wild ride, but I'm glad it's over.  I couldn't handle my blood pressure going up every Sunday.  I know it just ended but I'm ready for the new season.  I can only imagine how these women are going to get along after these stones have been thrown.

What did you think about the reunion?
